Maajid and the Senate Committee
Maajid is ranting and ranting and ranting to the Senate Committe.
One of the members of this committe is Senator Joseph I. Lieberman. This senator needs no comment for his radical support of Israel and militarism in the middle east. To top it off we have Zeyno Baran who is associated with the nasty Uzbek regime. Guess what? She was also associated with the Sufi Muslim Council!
http://sufimuslimcouncil.blogspot.com/2006/08/neoconservative-sufi-muslim-council.html
The British government is also now sending a “union” of “Sufi’s” (whatever that means) and Quilliam heretics to represent “mainstream” Islam in the UK
Note we must remember the notorious link of certain “Sufi” movements with nasty Neo Con and imperialistic aspects of the west. Why oh Why do these non Muslim idiots make it so easy for us? It is as if they are just reading from the RAND report! Subhan Allah, they are so confident of there agenda that they make it public to see.
Anyway an interesting comedy scene visited Maajid when he arrived in the states.
http://blogs.cqpolitics.com/spytalk/2008/07/red-tape-nearly-stops-testimon.html
The ICE deployed three cars with agents to escort him to his hotel! They then had agents sleep next door and probably reassured him that it was for his protection. We must remember that Maajid supposedly gets and I quote
credible death threats from al-Qaeda types on a weekly basis
Sure….. Why do I take that with a pinch of salt? It gets better, an official was quoted as saying that he has free movement but is monitered because and I quote
“…..The procedure is the same for anyone with a significant criminal history.”
This idiotic fool Maajid is made out to be a Don, one of the highest “senior” members to defect to the dark side. What is more funny because Maajid has blown himself out of all proportions (and the powers that be obviously love it), we have some “unfortunate” side effects

Well, actually they arent, but in Maajid’s head he probably thinks it is a conspiracy against him. I quote
Obviously it took longer because I was in prison for four years in the middle of it. But they seem to take the view that this was all my own fault. It also seems that they don’t believe that my change of heart is genuine.
Dont forget brothers and sisters, Rashad comment on this at the city circle blog in relation to the topic of Islamophobia (Didn’t Ed think that it was largely a myth?) and I quote
make dua for Majid

Yes Rashad, we have prayers for your likes and inshallah they shall be fulfilled in this life or the next. Obviously this implies no violence whatsoever! In case they try to misquote me.
Anyway, know this brothers even this sell out Maajid who grovels and rants like anything against the “evil ones” is being treated in a humiliating manner. He sold out his Akhira and inshallah his dunya is being taken away from him!
When Maajid winges about there lack of belief with regards to his sincerity, wouldnt they really have a point? Come on Maajid, your a sell out. Still, lets be honest he was not allowed to continue his studies because of a technicality that could have a signficant precedent and not because of their lack of belief in his change of heart! This guy lives in a world of his own.
See this article – ‘New board of imams to tackle extremists’:

Note when it says:
“It will rule on interpretation of the Koran and promote the moderate strain of Islam practised by most British Muslims.”
Sufis and Barelvis! Will we find “Ed” and co here too?

Solid post. Keep in mind that Majid also spoke at the pro-Israeli Washington Institute for Near Eastern Policy (WINEP). Luminaries include many of the most prominent neo-cons such as Lewis “Scooter” Libby, Martin Indyk, and others. Before these fools ever decide to make “anti-extremism” centers in the country, this should be mentioned to ALL Muslims in the UK.

The whole point of the hearing was to understand how terrorists emerge from ideology.
Maajids crude view being Islamism (anything that normal ordinary good Muslims don’t follow) makes them terrorists by interacting with their grievances – absolute claptrap. He himself claims in the same breath to have had grievances and Hizb ut-tahrir’s ideology didn’t make him a terrorist (for the 12/13/14 years he was with them – he can’t seem to make his mind up!) In fact Islamism has made him, ed and rash pure secularists (or apostates according to some!).
A brief review of Professor Robert Pape’s ‘Dying to Win: The Logic of Suicide Terrorism’ which is the most comprehensive study on the subject shows political injustice is the most common cause – this tied with classic Islamic theology of jihad results in a militant response. One sees this response when the colonialists occupied Muslim lands by sufis, legists, philosophers, politicians etc and more recently by the Communists in Afghanistan and Chechnya – Taliban were hardly influenced by intellectual ideas of Nabhani, Qutb or Mawdudi – the US and their chums in the ISI were the culprits who infused in them Quranic ideas of Jihad.
However Maajid and Ed have chips on their shoulders against being kicked out of HT for unethical activities so all Islamists are legitimate targets whatever the charge!
