The Quilliam Foundation are now so arrogant or so isolated that they have no concerns for their image among Muslim. I am still scratching my head. Why did they need to do this ? I mean. it does not help their cause to show the people that work for them . Aren’t they concerned about their image in front of Muslims ?  Of course they are not ! Was there going to be an expose ?

We know who they are concerned about and it isnt the Muslims. Ahhh, I know why this is a frank way to deal with “westophobia”. Not all C.V.’s like this deserve suspicion. Let us look at how this “wonderful” piece contributes to “social cohesion”. Imagine the BNP when they look at it. In fact, any innocent non-Muslim. I quote

The Imam can hold hands with them singing his favourite Freddie Mercury hymns. We could even make Nasheeds using themes from the songs of Queen!  Hmmm. Then we have the segregation of sexes in mosques! Really, has there ever been a mosque in history that does not do that? The Deobandis are to blame for this ? What in the world does this have to with tackling terrorism or even Islamism for Allah’s sake?  Now Muslim brothers and sisters, do you not think that the report laced with comments like this will even further alienate Muslims in this country? Don’t you think that Muslims would get more hostile to a British government that is funding projects with an agenda like this ? They have even infiltrated our prisons! I quote

We do not deny that things need to be improved in certain Mosques but this does not help. So let us answer the counter question ? What does your analysis achieve? You want Imams that go to West End shows (ok, ok, teach about theatre), that do not hold onto the “medievalist” Hanafi school of thought (or any Muslim school of thought for that matter ), and are against the segregation of sexes in Mosques (Your understanding of the problematic segregation Ed! The index that the methodology in the study uses is the female attendance of mosques! lol! Hardly an issue of concern for “Islamists” ). You may even want them to put on a fake posh accent. Maybe they can have names like Sam, Bob, or Tracy (hey whats wrong with female Imams right? We can’t dehumanise females!) .

Great, but unfortunately it is very unlikely to meet an Imam like this. In other words, this idea of tackling Islamism is a charade now and this foundation is now even out to demonise Muslims for certain agendas. Any Imam who is now shown this will never touch the Quilliam Foundation with a barge pole. Hey, we knew that anyway but the Government wants policies that work. (do they? ). I assume that interaction is a formal condition for this. Funding  Civitas inspired groups does not help. Allah help us when the Conservatives get into power! Ed and Maajid are a burden to what can be genuine cooperation between mosques and the government on a common good. When any Imam sees the comments of Ed he will run a mile, and will always think of the ulterior agenda of the Government especially when they are funding idiots like this.

On the Big Question today on the BBC we had a set up! Here was Douglas Murray, Maajid Nawaz and Anjum Choudry discussing whether Islam was an abhorrent religion . Anyway, it was funny to see Anjum Choudry and Maajid Nawaz shouting it out between each other. Maajid telling him that he was virtually a terrorist who supported the 9/11 terrorist attack on the United States and then in reply Anjum shouting that he was a Munafiq and an apostate destined to hell! Clearly it was good for television but not really good for social cohesion in this country. Especially when you have Douglas Murray taking this all in to prove his point. After all, Civitas which founded the Centre for Scoial Cohesion has published works that produce wonderful quotes like this. The benefits of  Immigration and “multiculturalism” are and  I quote

Leaving aside the charade of Maajid “defending” the Muslims, we had Maajid putting his foot in it again! He actually started out well against Anjum, given some of the basic errors he made! Unfortunately, Maajid has to ruin it for himself. After Anjum called him an apostate, the presenter asked Maajid (see from 9:55 on the clip inserted)

Well, I wouldn’t like to claim anything about myself. I hope God accepts me for who I am. I don’t think people should label each other or others. This whole term that Islamists have invented doesnt exist in the Quran about practising and non practising Muslims. This is an innovation. This word practising doesn’t exist in the scripture so I think the way in which they label people is very divisive.

He does not like labels like this! That is right, the label of being called a real Muslim! It seems to categorise him and he is not for that at all!  In fact he does not like to claim anything, that is right, anything for himself! Allah, in the end decides who I am (maybe he was being humble and was concerned about the ”real” nature of the heart lol!, a bit difficult if Islam is a relative concept )  !  Oh great, extreme Irj’aa strikes again. In fact, according to Maajid on that day Islam is what people make of it. In other words it is a culturally relative byproduct! Interesting, since in reply to  Sarah Joseph during the Doha Debate in Qatar we had an opposite reasoning.  She tells him about the  different definitions of Islamism. he replies that  their maybe different definitions of Islamism or Communism but it does not mean that they do not exist !  In other words, there is a core that is not culturally relative.  What inconsistent rubbish! Oh it gets worse (can it ?). According to Maajid the differentiation between a practising Muslim and a non practising Muslim is not in the Quran or Hadith and is in fact an innovation! Oh yeah, he blames it on the Islamists again! Would I even bother to ask him for a reference for this farcical claim ?

That is just funny! I think, Maajid’s take is not even innovative just idiotic. You just don’t know when to shut up do you?

Remember the spectre of the of the “Islamist-Wahabite” conspiracy that “threatened” and “harassed” their poor defenseless advisors. Note that this is the old list and we had quite a few scholars that were very angry because they had their names on it. These include Mufti Abu Laith, Shaikh Abdus Sabhan, and Shiekh Babikr! Now why would a link still be active with people who clearly do not want their names on that list ?  By the way, sources close to Usama Hassan now are saying that even he is having second thoughts! I am sure they would not be happy if they found out!

According to the “leaked” report if you even say homosexuality is a sin then you are an extremist to be sidelined. Of course, we had Ed Husein commenting

“Violent extremism is produced by Islamist extremism and it’s only right to get into the root causes.”

We must remember that even homosexuality as a sin (we are not talking about the punishment) is a “medievalist” position according to Maajid Nawaz. They, in some “mysterious” way planned the foundation to utter the views of this “leaked” report. No “westophobia”, no “Caliphate”, no “Sharia law”, the sin of homosexuality is a “medievalist” position, and Israel does not engage in any state terrorism (it does not deliberately target civilians).

According to this leaked report even Abdul Hakim Murad, Dilwar Hussein, Aftab Malik, Nuh Amin Keller, Hamza Yusuf, Abdullah Bin Bayyah, Ali Goma, Habib Allah Jifri, obviously the Radical Middle Way, are all extremists to be sidelined. The goverment will also not provide funding.

Simply put, the government is thinking of throwing in the bin this whole notion of the “hearts and minds” and branding Islam as extremist. Certain elements  want an ideological war. lol! We will only talk to you if you leave Islam. 

This also could be a “kite flying” exercise as one internal source on counter-terroism said. We await the publication of the report next month, and if the government are stupid enough to include these points then they will have just shot themselves in the foot. Imagine this scenario, the government engages or provides funding for individuals and some journalist i.e. Richard Watson googles the statements of the said individual. Lo and behold he wants Sharia Law in Muslim countries, a Caliphate in Muslim countries and believes in a legitimate defense of Muslims against aggresive military targets.  He is an extremist! Unfortunately for the Government the body of Sunni orthodoxy believes in these views. Any Sunni that you engage with will be an extremist and the Government will end up engaging with no one.

Well, Geert Wilders who leads the notorious PVV party in Holland wants the Quran banned or at least half of the Quran torn out if Muslims want to stay in Netherlands. He considers our prophet a devil and also thinks that the book incites hatred and murder. I assume therefore any Muslim according to him who believes in the Quran and wants to convert people to Islam is inciting hatred and murder.

Now the Quilliam Foundation says do not ban him and let him in. We want to debate him so that we can show the Muslims in this country that we are defending Islam. We remember the last time Ed debated Ayan Hirsi Ali where he famously insulted the rulings of Islam and was not concerned if people considered him Non-Muslim! (all this in the name of the Maqasid ! ).

Personally I am not  here to discuss the ins and outs of whether he should be banned or not and Muslims in this country should be careful when certain people of the Islamophobic variety try to cause fitna for political gains. I am concerned about the reasons why they differentitate! Remember in the eyes of Ed Geert Wilders is on the same level as the Islam Expo event who are ”every bit as fascist as any far right party”. We are not concerned with accuracy here in terms of political views. Ed does not give us that courtesy. It is an issue of demonisation.

So why did he want to ban Sheikh Qardawi ?

We even have a signed document from Ali Goma along with other Ulema from al Azhar supporting such activities.  We also have Ed saying this about someone he loves i.e. Jamal al Banna

In fact they never intentionally target innocent civilians!  Simply put, this is their policy.

Butt was arrested in 2008 over his planned autobiography Leaving Al Qaeda: Inside The Life And Mind of a British Jihadist, in which he was planning to claim involvement in the US consulate attack in Karachi, Pakistan, in June 2002, which killed 12 people.

The book was being co-authored by freelance journalist Shiv Malik, who became a media cause celebre after counter terrorism officers demanded he hand over his notes.

But in court Butt agreed he had taken Malik for a “right patsy”.

Another spoof letter doing the rounds (also modified it a bit to add the even more ludicrous views of this foundation of Kufr!), which tells what was really between the lines of recent overtures to the British Government during the barbaric assault on our brothers and sisters in Gaza.

Unfortunately we have to write to you today because we are slightly concerned about what is happening in Gaza. Well, just to expand on that  a teensy bit, we are concerned that the government’s ongoing refusal to clearly condemn Israel is leaving us more than a little exposed as being cheap opportunistic stooges .

Please can you do something to alleviate our embarrassment because we are worried that the pictures of dead and bloodied children that are continuously coming out of Gaza will serve to create great anger in  Muslim communities. Again, as we are friends, let us be more frank. We  are petrified that these pictures will create great anger in Muslim  communities against us. We signed up to receiving PVE dosh and free  trips abroad, not to being publicly scorned as being ‘money-grubbing  morons who are manipulated by the government.’

We urge you to call on Israel to try and improve the conditions in the Occupied Territories just a little bit. Let us be clear: We are  certainly not calling for the condenmation of the war crimes of Israel because after all Israel never intentionally targets civilians. They are all near misses No, no. After all, we are not  Islamists, ha-ha!

In fact, they claim that there was an Ijma of the Ottoman Ulema in a certain time period on this. What was the reality? Well, it is safe to say that the Hudud was not repealed, there was no Ijma on this and in fact the  major Ottoman Ulema refused to even abolish the Apostasy law.
